TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND

The futuristic title and cover art define the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s new album, recorded between the couple’s home studio (Swamp Raga Recording) in Jacksonville, Florida, and Phantom Studios in Tennessee, and produced by the experienced and versatile Mike Elizondo.
On "Future Soul", the band (now a 12-piece ensemble) focuses more on serving the songs rather than indulging in lengthy jams, offering the group’s usual blend of songwriting and instrumental prowess.
From the tracklist of 11 songs, the laid-back funky soul of "Crazy Cryin’", the driving mid-tempo "I Got You" (written by singer Mike Mattison), the more gritty "Devil Be Gone" and "Under The Knife", the programmatic manifesto of "Future Soul", and the evocative finale of "Ride On".
Joining Derek Trucks (lead and slide guitar), Susan Tedeschi (lead vocals, rhythm and lead guitar), and Mike Mattison (lead vocals and backing vocals, acoustic guitar) are drummer/percussionist Tyler Greenwell and keyboardist and backing vocalist Gabe Dixon, along with Kebbi Williams (saxophone and flute), Ephraim Owens (trumpet), Elizabeth Lea (trombone), Brandon Boone (bass), Isaac Eady (drums and percussion), Mark Rivers (backing vocals), and Alecia Chakour (backing vocals).
