We left Tommy Castro in September 2021, struggling with his "blues odyssey" which is very well told on the album "Tommy Castro Presents A Bluesman Came To Town" (already a superrecommendedalbum on rockpartyshow) and now, four years later, his new album "Closer To The Bone" has been released, made together with his trusted band The Painkillers.
In the fourteen songs on the album you can breathe, as in the best tradition of the Californian guitarist (he was born on April 15, 1955 in San Jose), robust rock blues that he composed himself (as in the torrid "Crazy Woman Blues" and the opening "Can't Catch A Break") or bearing the signatures, for example, of Johnny Guitar Watson ("She Moves Me"), Johnny "Nitro" Newton (One More Night), Brownie McGhee (the final "Hole In The Wall"), Chris Cain ("Woke Up And Smelled The Coffee"), Ray Charles ("A Fool For You").
