In the young Charley Crockett (born 1984), traditional country music has a new star.
His latest effort, 2020’s “Welcome To Hard Times”, follows in the footsteps of both his 2019 album, “The Valley”, and above all, his fifth recording, “Lil G.L.’s Blue Bonanza” (2018): this is pure country, resisting any form of contamination or blurring from other genres, with a cowboy hat and new-rancher-on-the-block attitude.
